Raymond Skaggs

Franklin Furnace-Raymond Skaggs, 68, of Franklin Furnace, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2018 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth. Raymond was born July 24, 1950 in Portsmouth to the late Chester and Marie Mollett Skaggs. He had worked as an Operator for Marion Power Shovel. Raymond is survived by his wife, Helen Stevens Skaggs whom he married July 8, 1972 in Franklin Furnace. Also surviving is a son, Jason Skaggs; three daughters, twin daughters, Stephanie (Dwayne) Woodrow and Stacy McCallister and Selina (Randy) Culver; two brothers, Samuel and William Skaggs; five sisters, Helen Williams, Carolyn Ruggles, Bonnie McKenzie, Karen Bailey and Debbie Horner and eight grandchildren, Justin Woodrow and Jozi (Jeffery) Murphy, Kevin and Kyler McCallister, Madison and Raiden Culver and MaKenna and Khloe Skaggs.

Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Junior Furnace Cemetery with Rick Mollett officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg. Condolences to the family may be made at www.harrison-pyles.com.
