Virgil Wills Frazie

Wheelersburg-Virgil Wills Frazie, 97, of Wheelersburg, passed away Sunday, October 7, 2018 at Concord Nursing Facility in Wheelersburg, Ohio. Virgil was born December 10, 1920 in Lawrence County, Ohio to the late Nathan and Della Brown Frazie. Virgil worked as a barber for 43 years; he was a member of Sand Hill Christian Baptist Church; a Navy World War II veteran and a member of the DAV Organization. Virgil also entertained at Golden Years Nursing Home in Portsmouth and Best Care Nursing Center in Wheelersburg. In addition to his parents Virgil was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Louise Kaltenbach Frazie whom he married February 16, 1946 in Greenup County, KY. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Earl, Clifford, Russell and Nathan Frazie, Jr.; four sisters, Thelma Johnson, Goldie Martin, Bessie Belcher and Wanda Day. Virgil is survived by his daughter, Nita V. (Carl) Tolbert; a brother, Ralph “Giggs” Frazie; a sister Doris Miller; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and a great, great granddaughter.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday, October 12, 2018 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Pastor Ronnie Blevins officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park with military honors by American Legion James Dickey Post #23. The family will receive friends, at the funeral home, 7:00-9:00 pm Thursday, October 11, 2018 and one hour before the service on Friday.
