Larry Dale Lavender

Franklin Furnace-Larry Dale Lavender, 75, of Franklin Furnace, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2018 at Community Hospice in Ashland, KY. Larry was born January 30, 1943 in Franklin Furnace to the late Earl and Goldie Adkins Lavender. He had been employed at AK Steel as a Steam Power Engineer. Larry was a member of Ohio Furnace Enterprise Baptist Church and he has pastored at several local churches for the last 40 years. In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by a son, Chris Lavender; a brother, Earl Lavender, Jr. and a sister, Joyce Sprouse. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Bocook Lavender; a son, Michael (Tilly) Lavender; two daughters, Kelli Keaton and Lori (Johnny) Blanton; a brother, Roger (Sheri) Lavender; three sisters, Patricia (Gary) Gannon, Linda (Don) Corn and Donna (Tom) Spergin; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Also, surviving is a brother-in-law, Phillip Sprouse and a sister-in-law, Catherine Lavender.

Funeral services will be 12:00 noon Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Ohio Furnace Enterprise Baptist Church with Pastor Roger Lavender officiating. Interment will follow in Buckeye Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5:00-8:00 pm Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg and one hour at the church, before the noon service, on Thursday.
