WHEELERSBURG-Joann Grant, 82, of Wheelersburg passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at her home. Joann was born January 8, 1939 in Scioto County to the late Thomas Hurst and Fannie Smith Hurst. She was a high school graduate and worked maintenance at Bloom Vernon School. She was of Freewill Baptist faith. In addition to her parents Joann was preceded in death by her husband William “Bill” Grant November 26, 2004, whom she married May 4, 1956 in Wheelersburg. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Art and Charles Hurst; a sister, Betty Blaine and sons-in- law, Bill Moore and Carlos Farrell. Joann is survived by two sons, Dale “Deidre” Grant and Jeff “Jennifer” Grant; two daughters, Teresa Moore and Towanna Farrell; twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Services for Joann will be 11:00 am Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Jeremy Moore officiating. Interment will be in Vernon Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 6:00-8:00 pm on Monday, February 1, 2021 and one hour before the 11:00 am service on Tuesday.
