Tyrone “Tony” Fredrick Rogers

WHEELERSBURG-Tyrone “Tony” Fredrick Rogers, 79, of Wheelersburg, passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth. Tony was born January 2, 1942 in New Boston to the late Tyrone Coffie and Lena Rogers Wright. Tony worked as a meat cutter for Quality Meat. He was a member of Germany Hollow Freewill Baptist Church and pastored several churches in the area, Shumway, Black Fork, Eifort and Hamilton Glase. Tony is survived by his wife, Violet Webb Rogers, whom he married November 24, 1962 at Germany Hollow Freewill Baptist Church. Also surviving are three sons, Tyrone E. Rogers, Darren Rogers and Dennis Rogers; a sister, Janice Kimhault; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Services for Tony will be 11:00 am Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Steve Luster officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 6:00-8:00 pm Friday, March 26, 2021 and one hour before the 11:00 AM service on Saturday.
