Freelon Hall, Jr.

WHEELERSBURG-Freelon Hall, Jr., 77, of Wheelersburg, passed away Thursday, May 6, 2021 at his home. Freelon was born June 28, 1943, in Wheelersburg to the late Freelon Hall and Nellie Stout Hall. He was employed in the hot strip department at (Armco-Ashland) AK Steel. He was a member of Sandhill Christian Baptist Church and an avid Wheelersburg supporter. Freelon was also an Air Force veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his oldest son, Timothy Hall; a brother, Jack Hall and three sisters, Helen Shaffer, Dorothy Hall and Eleanor Hall. Freelon is survived by two sons, Michael Todd Hall (Heather) and Randy Hall (Lindsay); a daughter, Heather (Richard) McGahan; a brother, Roger Hall of Dayton; four sisters, Etta Besco of Wheelersburg, Loretta Blackburn of Minford, Sandy Oppy of Wheelersburg and Clara Young of Mississippi; seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild and one more great-grandchild on the way.

Services for Freelon will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Pastor Jerrod Timberlake officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday 11:00 am until the 1:00 pm service. American Legion James Dickey Post #23 will be conducting graveside Military honors for Freelon.
