Lyda Jo Scarberry

FRANKLIN FURNACE-Lyda Jo Scarberry, 81, of Franklin Furnace, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth. Lyda Jo was born February 20, 1941 in Salyersville, KY to the late Oran Barnett and Doll Gullett Barnett. Lyda Jo was a high school graduate, a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Randy; a brother, Jay Barnett; a sister, Jan Darby and a son-in-law, Dwayne Loop. Lyda Jo is survived by her husband, Jackie Lee Scarberry, whom she married March 25, 1962 in Georgia. She is also survived by a son, Rick Scarberry (Trish); a daughter, Robbin Loop; two brothers, Rick Barnett and Frank Barnett; three sisters, Faye Jenkins, Barb Phipps and Deloris Howard and five grandchildren, Wesley Loop, Devan Spriggs, Austin Loop, Drew Scarberry and Brandon Scarberry.

Services for Lyda Jo will be 12:00 noon Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Ed Crabtree officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park. The family will receive friends and family at the funeral home, Thursday, 10:00 am until the noon service. The family requests Memorial contributions be made in Lyda Jo’s name to SOMC Hospice.
