FRANKLIN FURNACE-Lois Elnora (Yates) Aldridge, 81, of Columbus, formerly of Franklin Furnace passed away Thursday, December 8, 2022 at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. Lois was born January 7, 1941 in Franklin Furnace, Ohio to the late John and Gaynell (Hughes) Yates. Lois was a graduate of Green High School and worked at SOMC in registration for the ER and lab. She was also a seamstress. She loved to read and had learned how to download e-books on her Amazon Fire and how to shop on Amazon. Lois was a 29-year breast cancer survivor and a member of Pine Creek Free Will Baptist Church. Lois is survived by her daughters, Karen (Maggard) Davis of Columbus, Ohio, Paula (David)Maggard of Wheelersburg, Ohio and adopted daughter, Cheryl (Endicott) Bussa of Wheelersburg, Ohio; granddaughter, Izetta Nicole Davis of Columbus, Ohio; grandson, Joshua (Jessi) Maggard of Wheelersburg, Ohio; great granddaughter, Bettleigh Maggard and soon to be, great grandson, Isaiah Maggard. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Charlene Spradlin of Wheelersburg, Ohio and by nieces, nephews, and cousins that she loved very much. Lois was preceded in death by her son, David Maggard; parents, John and Gaynell Yates; brother, Glen and Loretta Yates and her very special friend, Cam Holbrook.

Services for Lois will be 1:00 pm Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Pastor Gary Selby officiating. Interment will be in Clapboard Cemetery. The family will receive friends and family at the funeral home Tuesday, 11:00 am until the 1:00 pm service. Condolences to the family may be made at www.harrison-pyles.com.
