WHEELERSBURG-Scott R. Gray, 60, formerly of Wheelersburg, Ohio, passed away suddenly at UK Chandler Hospital on Monday, January 24, 2022 from heart complications. A 1980 graduate of Wheelersburg High School, Scott excelled in athletics, especially on the basketball court for which he received numerous state and national honors. Professionally, he worked as a sales representative for merchant services.
With his light-hearted outlook and sense of humor, he enjoyed making people smile and loved his family and friends dearly. He is survived by his mother Phyllis Gray; sons Riley Gray and Mackenzie Gray; daughter Lindsey Gray Poole (Jacob); grandsons Nik Poole and Noah Poole, brothers Brian Gray and Mike Gray (Amy); sister Cindy Gray McCoy; aunt Shirly Pelfrey; forever friend Kelly Gray; numerous beloved nieces and nephews; family friend Theresa Gray, and many other close friends. Scott was preceded in death by his beloved daughter Westleigh Gray, father William Gray, and brother-in-law Matt McCoy.
A Celebration of Life Service for Scott will be held 12 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, 2022, at Faith Baptist Church, 7950 Ohio River Rd, Wheelersburg, OH, with Pastor Bryan White officiating. The family will receive friends at Faith Baptist Church one hour before the noon service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to contribute to your favorite charity in Scott’s memory. Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg has been entrusted with the Arrangements.
