Edyth Woodrum

Edyth Faye Woodrum, 95, Portsmouth, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood, Kentucky. Born November 4, 1929 in Salyersville, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Boyd Douglas Bailey and Pearl (Pace) Bailey, she was a fancy stitcher at the former Williams Shoe Factory in Portsmouth.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Donavan Raymond Woodrum; two brothers, Charles Bailey, Wallace Bailey, and three sisters, Lilly Williams, Fannie Castle and Betty Swick.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond Donavan “Woody” Woodrum, whom she married on September 9, 1950; a son, Mark Edward “Woody” Woodrum and three grandchildren, Sarah, Dustin and Linsey.
Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 25, 2025 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Pastor Chris Oiler officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. Thursday.
