Bennie Blevins
1937 - 2026

Bennie Blevins Sr, 88, of Portsmouth, OH passed away Monday, February 9, 2026, at his residence, where he lived with his son Jayme, and surrounded by his loved ones. He was born December 13, 1937, to the late Bennie and Daisy (Collins) Blevins and also preceded in death by his wife, Ida (Horner) Blevins, on December 14, 2006. Bennie attended Wheelersburg Schools and retired from the Dayton Walter Corporation. He enjoyed working on cars, carpentry and just sitting on the porch enjoying the outdoors. He also enjoyed spending as much time with his family as he could and was always there to help when they needed him. Bennie was of the Christian faith. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters: Annie Carter and Marie Ferguson. Those left to celebrate his life are two sons: Tony Blevins and Bennie “Jayme” (Chase) Blevins, Chase being his primary caregiver; a daughter: Rhonda Kay Keaton; a sister: Beulah Stanley; three grandchildren: Dale Keaton, Tony (Nicole) Keaton, Rhonda Keaton and a great grandchild: Caspian Keaton. The family would like to thank SOMC Hospice for the care they gave Bennie. There are no scheduled services at this time and Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home, 11623 Gallia Pike, Wheelersburg, OH is honored to be assisting the family with the arrangements.
