Helen Jenkins
1933 - 2026

Helen Louise Jenkins, 93, Formerly of Wheelersburg, died peacefully, Tuesday, March 17th, 2026, in Columbus, OH. She was born October 28, 1933, to the late Winnibald and Mary Elizabeth (Frische) Montavon. Helen was a graduate of Wheelersburg High School and Portsmouth Interstate Business College, she retired as a clerical specialist, having worked in the business offices of Williams Manufacturing (Shoe) Company and Mercy Hospital. Helen was an accomplished cook, seamstress, photographer and decorator; lovingly extending these talents to family, numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends. Following her marriage to Robert Jenkins, October 15, 1988, they moved to Reynoldsburg, Ohio, attending St. Pius Catholic Church and traveling extensively throughout the United States, Europe and Aisa, until Bob’s death in 2025. Most recently Helen resided at the Dublin Retirement Center in Dublin, OH. Helen is survived by a sister; Jean Myers, sister-in-laws; Phyllis Montavon and Shirley Montavon and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Jenkins; brothers and their spouses, Raymond (Mabel), Carl (Rita), Edgar (Juanita), Robert (Rose Mary) and Harold and sisters; Rosemary and Anna (Infant). Visitation will begin at 9:00am, Monday, March 23, 2026 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home, Wheelersburg, OH, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am at St. Peters Catholic Church, Wheelersburg, OH, officiated by Father Michael Fulton. Burial will follow at the church’s cemetery. Afterwards there will be a Mercy Meal in the church’s McCormick Hall.
