Ikey Ray Cornell, 48, of South Webster, OH, passed away Monday, August 31, 2026, at the SOMC Hospice Center. He was born February 20, 1978, in Portsmouth, OH to the late Lonnie and Joann (Lawless) Cornell and is survived by his wife, Mary Jane (Thorne) Cornell, whom he married May 5, 2007.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister: Shasta Skaggs.
In addition to his wife, Mary, those left to celebrate his life are a son: Devin (Tiffany) Thorne; two daughters: Sara (Nathan) Cornell and Nicole Cornell; two brothers: Lonnie Ray Cornell Jr. and Buckey Skaggs; three sisters: April Bates, Sherry Maisenbacher, Heather Elliott, six grandchildren and his stepmother: Susie (Skaggs) Cornell.
A funeral service will be at 1:00pm, Thursday, September 3, 2026, at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home, 11623 Gallia Pike, Wheelersburg, OH with Micah Stiles officiating. Burial will follow in Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will be 12:00pm until the time of the service at the funeral home.

ikey was a great man, he was family to all of us, a son loved by all our family, ikey always called me mom, breaks my heart but i know he went to a better place, love and prayers to all of the family
